Preparation and Safety

Cooking instructions: Oven

Oven cook from chilled but can also be shallow fried or poached If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Before cooking: Preheat oven to 190°C. Fan 170°C. Gas 5. Remove all packaging. Separate the fillets and wrap in lightly oiled foil to form a parcel. Place on a baking tray on the middle shelf of the oven. During cooking: Cook for 24 minutes After cooking: Check food is piping hot. As the natural thickness and size of the fish and the performance of cooking appliances varies this is a guide only.

 

Cooking instructions: Poach

To Poach from chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. Low heat. 7 mins Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Place fish into a suitably sized pan. Cover with milk or water, bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer. During cooking: Cook for 7 minutes. After cooking: Check food is piping hot. As the natural thickness and size of the fish and the performance of cooking appliances varies this is a guide only.

 

Cooking instructions: ShallowFry

Pan Fry from Chilled. If freezing at home, defrost thoroughly before cooking. 10-12 minutes Medium heat Before cooking: Remove all packaging. Preheat 2 tablespoons (30ml) of oil in a frying pan. Cut each fillet in half and coat in flour. Place coated fillet in the pan. During cooking: Cook for 10 - 12 minutes on a medium heat, turning occasionally during cooking.
